In 1948, after his father's death from bladder cancer, Savalas married his college sweetheart, Katherine Nicolaides.
[edit]Does this imply, that his father was against the marriage? Otherwise this seems like a weird connection of unrelated circumstances and would be probably better separated. But even, if it's the intended connection, it would be better to clarrify, like with: "In 1948, after his father's death (who was opposing his son's fiancée) from bladder cancer, Savalas married his college sweetheart, Katherine Nicolaides. 2001:4BB8:1D2:3231:FD37:28D0:C668:6180 (talk) 14:20, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
"Return to the Titanic Live"
[edit]@Omnis Scientia: With this edit you wrote that "Return to the Titanic Live" "was widely criticized as being insensitive and for making light of the tragic sinking soon after its wreck was discovered." Could you provide an example of this from the two sources cited? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:38, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- Simply adding info about Savalas which was present in the article Wreck of the Titanic, albeit paraphrased since I did not want to lift chunks from there. I could add that book sources from where the criticism was picked up. Omnis Scientia (talk) 19:50, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- That said, the The Washington Post article cited opens with "Tasteless Telly" and the rest goes on as such which I think is enough to show it was considered insensitive. Omnis Scientia (talk) 19:52, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
